Swimming Lessons will recommence from Monday 4th January 2021

Following the national lockdown 2.0 it has been announced that Telford and Wrekin will be placed in Tier 2. Our Fitness Suite, Classes and Swimming sessions will proceed as normal in a COVID-19 secure way.
The next Tier review will be the 16th December. If at any point Telford and Wrekin is placed into Tier 3, the Fitness Classes will unfortunately be postponed. This will be communicated to our customers closer to the time if required.
We are determined to make your visit to the centre as enjoyable as normal though, as you will appreciate it will still be a while until our facilities return fully to normal

Circle’s swimming lesson programme currently holds the STA (Swimming Teaching Association) Gold Mark award for its excellence in delivering swimming lessons. We are extremely proud to have held this award for over 6 years.

In order to gain this standard the STA viewed risk assessments, health and safety documentation, operating procedures, swimming lesson programme, environmental conditions, accident forms, customer care quality and staff training.

This award recognises our outstanding delivery of service that we offer to you, our customers.

Our Turtles groups cater for 3-5 years and are an excellent introduction to learning to swim through fun games and activities. Our Turtles work towards achieving their Stanley 1-4 awards rewarding increased water confidence. Once our Turtles turn 5 or have completed their Stanley awards then they are ready to start on our Stars programme.

Our Stars programme has been specifically designed in partnership with the STA to suit the swimming pool at Hadley Learning Community. The Stars programme caters swimmers between 5-15 year olds working from the first steps of water confidence and aquatic ability in our Red Stars group through to refining stroke techniques in our Pink Stars group.

The Advanced Swimmer Series is made up of three levels, Bronze, Silver and Gold. The series is designed to further develop swimming technique as well speed and stamina. This series is open to swimmers between 5-15 years who have completed the Stars programme.

Our Swimming Lessons programme has currently been suspended due to the current Coronavirus and following current Government guidance.

We will endeavour to keep our parents, guardians and swimmers up to date as much as possible as and when we can, with updates around our swimming lesson provision.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation during these uncertain times.

Many Thanks, the Leisure Team

To help us ensure that our lessons run as smoothly as possible please can we ask all parents and guardians to observe the following notes.

Can we ask that swimmers do not arrive on poolside until a maximum of 5minutes before their class is due to start.

Toilet breaks! We will always do our best to signal parents & guardians when their child has asked for the toilet however if we are unable to gain your attention then the child will be allowed to go through to the toilet area alone.

Can we ask that all swimmers wear appropriate swim wear, in particular swimming shorts should not go below the knee as this can affect the swimming ability.

In the unforeseen circumstance that we have to cancel a swimming session then a credit will be applied to the next terms fees.

Unfortunately credited sessions cannot be granted for any Holidays taken during the swimming term. Sessions may be credited for injuries and illnesses and these will be considered on a case by case basis.

The STAmark was relaunched in 2014 and aims to provide a standardised level of accreditation that organisations can work to which demonstrates prestige in the key area of running a swim school.

The STAmark has three accreditation levels, Bronze, Silver and Gold. Circle swimming lessons has held the Gold award since its relaunch in 2014. This Gold standard symbolises the excellent standards and provision that we provide to our swimmers.

For more information on the STAmark please visit the STA website.
